How to weld the butt welder
Use of welder welding:
1. Butt welding process
According to the working principle of butt welding machine, butt welding technology can be divided into resistance butt welding and flash butt welding.
Resistance But Welding is the process of heating the end joints of the reinforcement bars to a plastic state, cutting off the power supply, and then heating them to a plastic connection. This kind of welding process is easy to produce oxidation and slag inclusion in the joint, which requires the steel bar section to be smooth and smooth. At the same time, it consumes a lot of electric energy in the welding process, which requires a lot of welding power, so it is rarely used.
Flash butt welding flash butt welding refers to the process of welding, from the end of the steel joint to spray molten metal particles, producing sparks (flash). When the molten metal is sprayed, oxide and slag are also produced. The welded joint is of good quality, so it is widely used, especially for the connection of low carbon steel and low alloy steel.
2. Use
Attention should be paid to the following when using the butt welding machine:
Adjust the distance between the two jaws. When the adjusting screw is rotated to bring the joystick to the left limit, the gap between the clamps shall be the difference between the total extension length and the extrusion quantity of the two welds. When the control lever is in the correct limit, the distance between the clamps shall be the total extension length of the two welds plus 2 ~ 3 mm, i.e. the original position before welding.
Adjust the short circuit limit switch so that it can automatically cut off the power supply (up to the extrusion volume) when the welding is completed.
Adjust the gripper so that both grippers are at the same level according to the shape of the welding piece, then clamp the welding piece.
In order to prevent the welding parts from overheating, the adjustment series should be added one by one and the appropriate secondary voltage should be selected.High secondary voltage should be used for flash butt welding.
To avoid overheating of components during welding, the cooling water valve must be opened before welding. For the convenience of inspection, a funnel is set in the front left side of the welder to directly observe the water flow and check whether there is cooling water flow inside the welder.
3. Operation points of steel butt welding machine
Welding machine operators must undergo professional training, familiar with the welding machine structure, performance, operation procedures, master the process parameter selection, quality inspection specifications and other knowledge.
Before operation, check whether the welding machine is sensitive and reliable, whether the electrical system is safe, whether the cooling water pump system is leaking, and whether all lubricating parts are well lubricated.
It is strictly forbidden to butt weld the steel bar exceeding the specified diameter. The main bar must be butt welded before cold drawing. To ensure welding quality, the induction end shall be cleaned, derusted and corrected within 150mm.
When operating, the operator must wear colored protective glasses, hats, etc.To prevent the arc from irritating the eyes and burning the skin with molten metal.
The butt welder should be kept in a clean, dry and ventilated place. The welding machine used on site should be equipped with rain proof, moisture-proof, sunblock shed, and equipped with fire fighting equipment.Flammable materials shall not be piled up in the welding area.
The welding machine shall be equipped with special wiring switch and installed in the distribution box.The capacity of the fuse shall be 1.5 times the capacity of the machine.Welder enclosure must be well grounded.
After butt welding, the appearance inspection showed that the rebar joint should be properly upset without any cracks or obvious burns on the surface.Connection shaft crankshaft not more than 6, price not more than 1/10 of steel bar diameter, not more than 2mm.
After the operation, the site should be cleaned to eliminate the fire.In winter, compressed air should be used to blow away water stored in cooling pipes and to cut off power.
