What is silver brazing?

Share us:

You should have said silver base brazing.

Silver base brazing is one of the brazing processes.During brazing, the solder is joined by solidification of the molten solder. Our company USES flame brazing. For flame brazing, the brazing agent is precoated on the interface surface, or the brazing agent is first heated and impregnated with the brazing agent and then brought to the surface to be welded, which is uniformly heated to the brazing temperature.Uniform flow of solder, filling gaps, to achieve the purpose of welding.

I. raw materials

A base metal

That is, welds are usually copper or copper alloys. It needs good material with no impurities.

Solder 2

The brazing filler metal, commonly referred to as a wire, is the filler material used in brazing.Silver base solder is mainly silver copper and silver copper zinc alloy.Among them, silver content is the most important factor, according to different content can be divided into different specifications and brands. For our conventional copper products, we can choose solder (BAg30Cu) with 30% silver content.

Three flux.

Commonly known as welding powder, that is, brazing used when the solvent, it is a powder, when the use of the need to prepare a solvent. Its function is to remove the oxide on the surface of brazing filler metal and base metal, protect the solder and liquid brazing filler metal from oxidation during brazing, and improve the wettability of liquid brazing filler metal to the solder.Brazing agent copper and copper alloy are commonly used in brazing of silver base filler metal. The temperature of brazing QJ101 is 550~850℃, while that of brazing QJ102 is 650~850℃.When the flux is used, it should be placed in a metal container. It's simple to prepare. It only needs boiling water to make a paste. Moreover, a very precise ratio of water to flux is not required. But should pay attention to stir into a paste, the concentration should not be too thin, otherwise it will affect the welding effect. It can be stirred at the water's edge and heated gently if necessary to accelerate dissolution.
