Several welding processes for brazing rods

Share us:

1. Preheating of weldments Brazing rods are used to improve the quality of the welds. The weldments can be preheated to 300-350 degrees before welding and the bars are baked at 150-200 degrees for 1 hour.

2. Method of transporting strips Brazing rods can be welded by straight line method. The faster the speed, the better, in order to reduce metal oxidation, increase the electrode diameter and welding current within the allowable range of weldments, and weld V-shaped or X-shaped groove. The root may have defects such as incomplete penetration. The reason is mainly because the welding rod is too thick, the groove angle is small, the arc is too far from the root, and the copper has fast heat conduction and insufficient arc heat. Therefore, in order to ensure the root penetration, it should be added appropriately. Large groove angle or increased clearance, V-shaped groove multi-layer welding, the first layer with a diameter of 3-4 mm electrode is best, the later layers can increase the diameter of the electrode and lateral swing, when welding, the arc should Directly facing the molten pool, avoid blowing to one side of the metal of the groove, the welding rod is fed at the same speed along the center of the weld, and moves in the welding direction to prevent the liquid metal and slag from flowing to the outside of the molten pool to produce a welded tumor, and the action when replacing the welding rod To be quick, the arc should be arced on the welded weld 10 mm from the arc pit at the high temperature, and then returned to the original weld pool. After the weld pool is filled, the welding is continued.

3. The welding sequence is to reduce the deformation of the weldment when welding with the copper welding rod. When the length of the welding gap is less than 500 mm, the straight-through welding method can be used to directly weld from one end to the other end. For example, if the length of the weld is greater than 500 mm, The center is welded to both ends, and some methods of preventing deformation by welding carbon steel can also be used when welding copper.

4. Welding current and electrode diameter The diameter of the brazing rod and the welding current should be selected according to the thickness of the weldment, the beginning of the weld, the outline of the weldment and the heat dissipation conditions. Usually, the welding current is 40-50 times the diameter of the electrode. This article is shared from Hebei Huasheng Special Wear-resistant Welding Rod Factory.
