Aluminum-silicon alloy is suitable for brazing alloy because of its low melting point and good fluidity.Typical brazing alloys are 4343, 4045(us brand) and 4004 alloys.The 6951(us brand) alloy of industrial pure aluminum, aluminum-manganese alloy and aluminum-magnesium-silicon alloy has good brazing performance.The 6061, 6053(American brand) and 6063 alloys in the aluminum-magnesium-silicon system also have better brazing performance, but because their initial melting temperature is lower than that of industrial pure aluminum and aluminum-manganese alloy, the brazing temperature should be strictly controlled to prevent overburning.4004 filler metal contains magnesium, suitable for use in vacuum brazing process. During brazing process, magnesium vapor reacts with residual oxygen and water in the furnace to purify, and magnesium vapor also inhibits the reoxidation of brazed aluminum alloy.
The 4343 filler metal is suitable for brazing aluminum alloy base materials such as 1060, 1100 and 3A21, while the 4043 and 4047 filler metal is suitable for brazing aluminum alloy base materials such as 3004, 6063 and 6082.
